When is my 2016 personal income tax return due?

The deadline to file your 2016 personal income tax return is on or before April 30, 2017. Since April 30, 2017, is a Sunday, your return will be considered filed on time if it is received or it is postmarked on or before May 1, 2017.

However; if you, your spouse, or common-law partner carried on a business in 2016, your return must be filed on or before June 15, 2017.
